Day #22

Monday June 1st, 2015

Hey, it's June! Yippee...

So let me start out by saying that I had a really good day yesterday, despite what the scale is telling me today. I walked the little dog for a mile plus, then I put in 4.5 miles of interval training. It felt AWESOME and I even got a sunburn. I love that first exposure of the season, always get fried, then start using sun screen. Good times.

Yesterday (that being Sunday) I had a bad hankering for ribs. I smoked them all day (although I freaking forgot to turn the smoke thing on, so they only got smoke for half of their time in the smoker) and mowed down on 4 or 5 ribs at dinner. These were some serious baby back ribs, absolutely delicious and tender, with a wonderful dry rub and some paleo friendly (home made) dipping sauce on the side. Great dinner. Until about an hour later.

I was so bloated that I could barely walk! And this after smilingly eating pork for all the time I've been eating "clean", damn it. Let me tell you, that won't be happening again. I thought I was going to be up all night. My stomach was as hard as a rock and was stretched to the 9 months pregnant scale. I'm a little flabbergasted, but I guess I shouldn't be surprised. Pork is a well known inflammatory food in the autoimmune world,  so why did I think it would not impact me? Duh. Big fat duh. Probably because I have been eating so well for a few weeks it really hit me hard last night.

Sigh. Another delicious food off my plate, so to speak.

Other Gastro: Bloat level = 6 months preggers
Mental clarity: Good
Mood: I have to laugh or I will go crazy. Mood is fine and dandy.
