GAPS Healing Diet Day #15

Thursday July 2nd, 2015

Happy super Friday, and happy cloudy, cool day in July! I'm not a fan unless I'm going to be running which is not happening today; the gals have decided to go shoe shopping. I'm totally down with that PLUS!!! It's the cattle drive today, my favorite day in Colorado Springs! So lucky that I work downtown and I get to see all of this cool shit, and yes, I am serious. I love this little big town with all my heart. Let's hear it for manure in the streets!!

I'm headache free today, and also don't have the bloating or gas I had late yesterday. Feeling good, wearing pants that were too tight two weeks ago very comfortably. I'm having some satisfying bowel action today, so life is good!

Had a nice lunch break, got myself a new 3-bottle fuel belt, saw the cattle drive (holy crap, it was so small this year!) and picked up some yummy, organic spices at my fave little spice shop. I turned my girls on to their tikka masala package, it is absolutely delicious. I can't eat spices like that right now but the minute I can it's on like Donkey Kong. Or something.

Tomorrow I'm going to meet up with one of my girls for a 4-mile interval training session out in Falcon where the trail is flat. I love flat trails! They are true rarity in Colorado, unless you're out on the plains (Falcon is). Weather permitting, because there is no cover on this trail and it gets downright windy out there.

Saturday I'm meeting up with my other girl to do a 4th of July 5k down in America the Beautiful part, which is the trail that we walk/jog on all the time! Should be fun, it's nice and early so it should be cool enough to enjoy. A couple of years ago I did the half marathon version of this run but, um, I'm just not in good enough shake to even attempt that right now. I would love to take on the half next year, we shall see!
