Goodness! It's the end of July, what the hell?
Today is going to be hot, as in very, as in 90's. Holy crap. So happy that we're sleeping in the basement but I must tell you that the AC is on all day and that basement holds onto the cold air so well that we were cold last night. Ha ha! Tonight perhaps I'll open a window to let in some fresh air and chase the cold air into a corner or something. Either that or we will need the full-on down comforter cuz damn! I was laying in bed this morning, cuddled up to my personal heater (Bandit dog) and I was still shivering! Good problem to have in July, I guess.
I'm only two pounds away from my goal weight!!! Of course I'm going away for the weekend with my longest-bestest and Lord only knows if I will be able to adhere to the plan strictly (doubtful), but I will do my level best. I located a bunch of Paleo friendly eateries in the lovely town of Madison, WI but who knows how far away they are from where we're staying, if she will be hip to eating that way for a whole weekend, and how down the restaurants are to the whole AIP thing. We shall see!
I pondered last night as I drifted off to sleep... what shall I do with my refrigerated supplements? How do people do this? It just so happened that I needed to pop into Walgreen's to replenish the dog's supply of Pepcid (yep, they both have acidic tummies) so I asked the pharmacist. He said he didn't really know what people do, but he gave me a small, heavy-duty zip top bag to freeze into a cube of ice. We'll see if they allow that through security - I have my doubts. If not, I will have plenty of zippy bags on hand and if all else fails I will get ice from a fast food establishment and keep them iced. I would just put them in my bag and check it BUT I only have a 41 minute layover in Chicago and I seriously doubt my bag would make the connection. I've flown United before and their attention to detail is abysmal, I just didn't have another convenient choice to get to Madison from my little airport, and I sure as hell didn't want to drive to DIA and pay a fortune to park. Bleh.
