Paleo AIP Day #21 - Sorry So Late!
Sunday July 26th, 2015
Hi-ho from Madison, WI! It has been a lovely day starting with a 4 mile jog, followed by a 4 mile bike ride, lots of walking, facials, food, shopping, etc. Just a really fun "do nothing" day and boy am I decompressed - I feel like a million!
We had an two excellent restaurant experiences here: The Capital Chop House in our hotel last night, and the Lone Star Steakhouse for lunch today. At the Chop House the waiter was very attentive to our needs and made sure the kitchen took very good care of our food. Then today we went to Lone Star where they handed us the most detailed gluten free menu I've ever seen. I mean - wow. It listed in detail all of the allergens in every dish they have, and it was easy to modify items that were GF but still had things like soy or dairy in them. I had the cowboy pork chops with no seasoning, with a plain baked sweet potato and plain steamed broccoli. It was delish! Lorrie asked for lemons and I used some on my broccoli with just salt, and it was amazing. I'm so excited to have had two great restaurant experiences in a row! This is very encouraging for my future in dining out. Thanks Madison!
Short and sweet tonight...
Weight: No idea. That's right, I don't know. I don't know if there is a scale in the workout room and I don't care, I'm not about to go get on a strange scale and be surprised (one way or the other!). No thanks. Y'all and I are just gonna have to wait until I get home. So there. I'm taking a vacation from my weight for a couple of days.
Energy level: Couldn't be better. I slept 9 hours and 31 minutes last night, and it was glorious! I've never felt more like dancing a jig in my life. No, I don't know how to dance a jog, but thanks for asking.
BM: Score! Huge, major one last night and a couple so far today.
Other Gastro: Clear
Mental clarity: Great
Exercise: See above
Other: Looks like we won't be doing any kayaking tomorrow, the rental place doesn't open until 10 and we have to be out of our hotel by noon, so nope. Damn it. We saw lots of people kayaking today, the lake is huge compared to what I'm used to but it looks like fun!
