Paleo AIP Day #7

Sunday July 12th, 2015

Happy Sunday everyone!

Today is another fantastic day, thank you for asking. It's warm and sunny with a few high clouds and I have the whole day ahead of me. This morning I'm going to take my little dog on a big walk, hubby and I are going to drive out to Falcon to borrow kayaks from my bestie, and we're going to paint the basement. 

YAY! The work is almost complete; drywall guy is coming back today to texture the closet (it didn't dry yesterday) and then he's done. Thursday the carpet guy is coming to re-lay the padding and carpeting. Then we will rent a carpet cleaner and clean it. Then we will put the log bed back together, bring in all the furniture and wait for the mattress. The we'll be able to sleep down there where it's nice and cool for the remainder of summer and probably autumn as well. 

Unfortunately hubby found evidence of mice (I detest mice) in the utility room, but he's all over trying to evict and/or kill the little shits. If they hang out in there they may venture into the bedroom when it's done, and then we'll be completely fecked. Not letting that happen if we can help it. Little bastards are pooing everywhere in that utility room.

I introduced egg yolks yesterday, as is the proper way to do things. No reaction. Had one in my acorn squash "oatmeal" today, no reaction thus far. I need to eat another at lunch and dinner, then wait a couple of days. I'm hoping for no reaction! It would be my first clean introduction since green beans, and that was a while ago, back in June I believe. Stay tuned! On that note, I excluded items from Phase 1 that I either reacted to (black pepper) or already reintroduced successfully (green beans, which are legumes with edible pods) or foods that I don't eat (anise, cardamom, juniper, etc.) - so what I'm saying is, this is not 100%, but it will get you started. I compiled the introduction schedule from the recommendations of two books and one ebook - they do tend to vary a bit here and there so I made a list that makes sense for me.
