Hi there! I'm keeping this very short again today because, busy. Lots to do. Not much to report.
Got out for some intervals at lunch yesterday as it was the coolest day in the forecast. It felt hotter than it was (THANKS MONSOON!) but I got an uncharacteristic second wind for the last mile and pushed it hard! Poor Erin, my friend, who just got back from vacation, and was not blessed with a second wind... Our average pace for the entire workout was 14:05 per mile. That's a new record for us! And it's getting us closer to our goal of 13:30 per mile by the time we get to Vegas for the 10k. Good times, good times.
Energy level: Mediocre, slept like crap thanks to a large wolf spider making an appearance on the wall last night; it was all I could think about. Damn.
BM: Yes, some nicely formed, brown jobbies!
Other Gastro: Nothing to report
Mental clarity: Good
Exercise: Well, today we embark on a toning journey with my pal Jenn, and I'm not looking forward to it. I need to do toning (just wait 'til I post a picture of the crap hanging off of my arms) but I detest doing the work. It makes me whiny and I feel so weak... that's real.
Other: Stoopy spider ruined my night! Gotta spray the basement, I know they love it down there and this was the first spider we've seen that wasn't stuck in the bath tub, so it scared the poop out of me. It was huge, and has probably been thriving in our basement boudoir for some time. ARGH! I hate them! They're evil looking!
Here's a picture of one that I found in an packed box last year as I was unpacking. It made me want to throw away my gravy boat! You can see how huge it is; the one on the wall last night was at least this big!
